We have been awarded £207815 from the Big Lottery Fund. In partnership with Cunninghame Furniture Recycling Company we will be extending our services by distributing household items as well as clothes.

Sarah Hall, Business Development Manager, Hillhouse, said:

"This is a tremendous boost to Hillhouse and the services that we provide for families right across Ayrshire. This year, we have helped hundreds of mums and dads who were struggling to clothe their children. The funding from The Big Lottery Fund will help us to do even more in 2014. We are a small social enterprise, but we have big ambitions to make a difference to the levels of hardship in Ayrshire. Working in partnership with Cunninghame Housing Recycling Association, we will be able to reach out to more families and make their lives just that little bit easier. We are now expanding our services which will see us supplying household items alongside children's clothes, footwear and equipment."

Hugh McGhee, Head of Cunninghame Furniture Recycling Company said

“CFRC are delighted to get the opportunity, following this Big Lottery Award, to work in partnership with Hillhouse to provide much needed services for local residents in Ayrshire. Big Lottery support will enable us to increase the number of households we assist with much needed clothing, household essentials and furniture for their homes. We’re confident that, especially in the current climate, we can make a difference and ensure people are able to provide essential comforts for their families”.
